This is called “cold soaking” in the backpacking community but the bottle is a neat innovation.
Thru hikers are fine with this. Though I used a ziploc so I could reuse the bag multiple times. Add some wild garlic too.
Eat the powder and then drink the water. Saves a plastic bottle. Not only does it assert dominance, it’s the eco friendly option!
You’re still using a plastic bottle. The more environmentally friendly option would be to wash it and reuse it every day for your morning potatoes.
At what point did I suggest you drink the water from a bottle?
Touche. That’s what I get for assuming I suppose.
So you can mix that with some flour and water in a gallon bag, cut the corner, and squeeze into boiling tomato sauce.
Homemade tomato sauce with homemade gnocchi in 20 minutes is p great.
If you need a protein, you can start your sauce with thin discs of sausage, get all the grease out of the sausage and use it to fry up some garlic (maybe add oil if there’s not enough grease), chili peppers, onion, then add tomatoes, canned is fine, and water if needed.
The only way to eat it is to throw it in the waffle maker.
Yooo, new boy meal dropped!
Poor Man’s Huel
I think it would actually be better if You ate the powder and washed it down with water.
You would think too little water would make them terrible, but too much water makes the texture unimaginably bad
I guess it doesn’t simply turn into some kind of potatoe soup?
more like gritty starch water.
Why isn’t soup sold in a bottle like this?
Also, don’t eat soup out of a plastic bottle.
Campbell’s does make a sipping soup line sold in cups with drinking holes. It is…fine.
Most bottles made in this shape are unsafe to heat. It’s not common so it’s not cheap.
That last panel is remarkably disturbing.

This is, by far, the least vile thing he ever made and/or ate.
Now that’s not a shit post. That’s vile!
Is the water at least hot?
Mountain House is in the house.
