Trump is like the kid in the schoolyard who got punched in the nose, yet claims that it was he who won the fight.

That’s Trump. Talking s#%t about the other kid, while secretly hoping that kid doesn’t come back and punch him in the face again.

    Trump is a convicted felon

He has incentives not to retire because then he will be sentenced for tax fraud. I’m sure he’s considered the possibility of freezing elections because of being in a war…

No. He needs congressional approval. He won’t get it. Hence why he won’t make it better though. He’ll likely try to make it worse until they HAVE to go to war

Part of the deal was that Israel had to stop bombing Lebanon. That is probably a big part of why Trump rehected it.

The first ceasefire deal included the US handing Iran $300 billion. The current rejected ceasefire deal only wanted $12 billion in funds unlocked, withdrawal of forces and no more Israel bombing Lebanon.

The $12 billion can’t be the deal breaker becuase of the previous $300 billion offer. The withdrawal of forces probably isn’t the deal breaker because most deescalation deals would include something like it. This leaves stopping Israel bombing Lebanon as the reason to reject the deal.

It’s amazing how a few weeks to an upcoming election changes politicians and the events they direct. Republicans are distancing themselves from Trump, and Trump isn’t gonna bomb Iran until after the elections. Perhaps we should have continual elections?

That would involve the US president convincing Israel to end its attacks on Iran-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon, a tall order,

    Fuck you, Guardian.
