I wanted a durable sustainable large light bottle and found these ones from Spain. Large dog and me consume a lot of water so I opted for a one liter single walled that would still fit in my bum bag bottle holder. Despite not a thermos it keeps refrigerated water cold for at least an hour or more in the current 28°C heat so I’m happy.

Edit: response from Laken customer service:

I’ve always enjoyed things with timeless style and flair. The modern minimalist look borders too much on institutional like a school or hospital. I think houses should look lived in and unique, not like a catalog photoshoot. I have my grandmom’s couch that is currently pumpkin colored. It used to be a mustard yellow in the 80s-90s until the got it reupholstered and it still looks great. I’ve sat on that thing my whole life! Most of the rest of my furniture is oak antiques or at least things I’ve gotten from relatives that has held up to time.
I like old stuff like vintage Gillette and small appliances as well. They work as good or better than new and look unique, even though they were the mass produced things of their day. That day just happens to be long gone, so that makes them exciting again, to me at least. Plus it is keeping serviceable items in use.
It’s good to see people finding value in old items. You may get a kick out of The Post Apocalyptic Inventor youtube channel, if you have not seen that. He’s a German guy that goes to scrapyards and fixes old tools he finds, especially post war German and East German things and tells the history of the manufacturers and brand markings and gets them back in working condition to use in his shop.
