It seems like many of you just consider it any non offensive meme. If it approaches the definition I’ve provided, you let it genuinely upset you. Based on my individual experience at least.
I think the spirit of shitposting is in opposition to the spirit of taxonomy. And it’s super ironic to argue over the definition.
Precisely defining shitpost would annihilate it’s meaning and we’d be forced to use another word.

Ragebait is a type of trolling, shitposting is more in the realm of stupid/silly humor
I take the Supreme Court’s line on shitposts. They’re hard to define, but I know it when I see it

My definition of shitpost is content with a joke that isn’t that good. It doesn’t matter that the media took 3 minutes to makes, or a month, or that it made you laugh for a whole minute, as long as the joke is simple and “stupid” that’s a shitpost.
This is a prime example of a shitpost.
The joke isn’t deep. It’s just that it wasted your time.
