Ukraine’s long-range strikes have been targeting Russia’s oil and gas industry for months, which Kyiv says both funds and directly fuels Moscow’s more than four-year-old invasion of its neighbor.
The Ukrainian drone campaign has caused fuel rationing across Russia, despite the country being a key oil and gas exporter. Other Ukrainian strikes targeted major Russian online retailers, bringing the war ever closer to the public.
Help me to understand this. The US has sanctioned oil and diesel exports from Russia, so the US isn’t getting oil from Russia, right? So, if Russian oil exports are reduced or stopped, this would have no impact on the US. The US is only concerned about what happens to the US, so what am I missing?
